Looking at You

Ive been thinking about buying a digital SLR. I'm not a photographer by any means, but id love to get into it. But its a big investment. So i thought, i'd better go out with my old compact powershot and take a few snaps which i haven't done for ages, just see how my eye is, whats out there etc.
All i came up with was this swan, which seemed to be steadily looking at me thinking ..don't waste your money...
But you know, swans are like that.
hmm.
